Paul Hudson
In print I work mainly with etching and silkscreen with occasional wood/lino cut pieces.
My prints are the end result of much thought and few actual drawings, my sketchbook is somewhere inside my head and sometimes not even I can locate it.
Each work needs a hook that can make me believe that the idea is a worthwhile one and that can be difficult. In the past I have used the British ancestral, archeological landscape; the state of Tibet under Chinese dictatorship and ideas devised from Samuel Palmer to help me achieve an outcome.
At the moment I am seeking a new starting point.
